your pessimism against my optimism

there is an expression I hear quite a lot, "smile, it might never happen", I have had it said to me since I could remember. But even on these occasions where I may not be smiling, doesn't mean that I am feeling pessimistic, I believe that the more optimistic we are, the better our chances are of things going our way, maybe it is just coincidence or maybe just a simple smile can make such a difference, in not only situations, but within ourselves.

I guess the beauty of life is it can be whatever we make it, the past couple of months I have been deciding what I want to make of mine, the person I want to be, and it has also revealed a few home truths that make you realise that a lot of the times, you either waste a given opportunity, or don't put in the amount of effort that could have been given. So here is to a new beginning, a new era and a new life, let's make it a good one.
